Composer, Artist, & Musician

The name "Post Elvis" at first illicits an odd reaction. what does the name mean? is there some statement? Is it nonsense?

Post Elvis is the moniker I use for myself - A 30 year old composer, artist and musician with the birth name of Thomas Torres.

The name originally was meant to be a portmanteau of "Post Modernity" and "Elvis."

Eventually over the past several years, Post Elvis was the name associated with most of the music I composed whether it'd be video game music, solo ballads or something far more experimental.

Post Elvis is dedicated to poly-genre exploration, pastiche, exploration in pop music, and musics traditionally considered high brow in order to fuse these elements into a expressive solo music project that embodies the reflections of society, the persona of my inner thoughts & feelings and the joys & sadness of modern life.

I hold a masters degree in music composition, and am a proud member of the freelancers union.
